80/35 Fest Announces 2022 Lineup Featuring Father John Misty, Japanese Breakfast, Charli XCX and More







The 80/35 Music Festival has finally announced the cast that will be performing on its final episode. This year, the annual festival, based in Des Moines, Iowa, is set to take place July 8-9, according to Stereogum. This follows a hiatus from the volunteer-run festival following its 2019 screening relating to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The festival, divided into two days, will feature two different groups of artists. The first day of the festival will be highlighted by singer-songwriter Father John Misty. Joining Misty on day one will be Japanese Breakfast, Guided by Voices, Tkay Maidza, Meet Me @ The Altar, Pachyman and Hannah Marks: Outsider, Outlier.

English singer-songwriter Charli XCX will be the highlight of the second day of the festival. Joining Charli will be Future Islands, Jamilla Woods, MonoNeon, BLACKSTARKIDS, Geese, Evann McIntosh, Haiku Hands, Vended, The Envy Corps and Miloe. According to the event flyer, there will also be more acts that have yet to be officially announced. See the flyer containing the list of artists below.

Headliner Charli XCX’s performance at the festival will follow shortly after the release of her next album, crashwhich is slated for release on March 18. Day one headliner Father John Misty is also set to release his next album, Chloé and the following 20th century, on April 8, shortly before its presentation at the festival.
