Artists for Oceans Mural Festival in Emeryville

0

Local and international artists have teamed up to create 15 ocean-themed murals in Emeryville over the past week.

From September 12-17, artists from California, New York, Miami, New Zealand and Greece converged on Emeryville to create art on various giant construction walls across the city.

The PangeaSeed Foundation’s Sea Walls: Artists for Oceans Global Festival was presented by Stasher and Oxford Properties and aimed to increase interest and engagement around marine stewardship and community action.

There was also a film screening and panel discussion with the artists at the Emeryville Public Market on Friday, a California Coast Cleanup on Saturday and Emeryville Mayor John Bauters led a guided tour of the murals on Saturday. .
