BaNES 3SG, the voice of the voluntary sector in the region, supports charities, community groups and social enterprises in Bath, Keynsham, Midsomer Norton, Radstock, Peasedown St John and rural areas such as Chew Valley.
Nathan Hartley, Chairman of Peasedown Party in the Park, said, “We are absolutely thrilled to have the BaNES 3SG team with us at this year’s Jubilee Festival!
“In the first 15 months of the pandemic, the team recruited over 3,000 volunteers to support food and medicine deliveries, as well as gathering at local vaccination centers such as Bath Racecourse. In total, over £100,000 in purchases have been made by 3SG volunteers for people needing to self-isolate or shield.
“As the founders of the new Community Wellness Center, they have done a fantastic job bringing together thousands of volunteers to support others.”
3SG is a membership network of over 180 BaNES charities, social enterprises and community groups. Members of Peasedown St John include Peasedown Community Trust, Camerton & Peasedown Croquet Club and The Hive Community Centre.
During the Jubilee Party in the Park, BaNES 3SG will provide a large team of volunteers to manage all festival entrance gates, distribute programs and greet the public upon arrival.
Miles Lloyd, 3SG Coordinator, said: “We are looking forward to being part of the Peasedown Jubilee Party in the Park in June.
“The festival has grown so much over the past decade that it has become one of the top events on the local calendar.
“As an organization that loves to champion and support the voluntary sector, we are thrilled to work with Nathan and his team to help organize and manage this historic community event.
“The covid pandemic has been a difficult time for all of us. It encourages us to think about how much we value our friends and family and how much we value our local community.
