Chain Theater to present the Winter One Act Festival


After a triumphant return to theater, the Chain Theater hosts the Winter One Act Festival. We encourage all playwrights, directors and actors looking for free theatrical space to showcase their talent to apply. If selected, entrants will receive three performances and five hours of FREE rehearsal space at Chain’s brand new rehearsal studios. Registration for the Chain Winter One Act Festival is free and there is no participation fee.

All productions are carefully curated and designed to create a 90-minute “mix-tape” of new works produced by seasoned and emerging artists. Show your support for the arts and join them for an exciting selection of live performances at one of New York’s best independent theaters. Tickets are $ 15 in advance and $ 18 at the door.

Productions interested in submitting should visit for all details and requirements. Shows should last between 10 and 60 minutes. Successful applicants will also be offered subsidized rehearsal space of $ 10 per hour for any additional hours required beyond their allocation. Chain will provide all reception staff and board operators. Each show will have a minimum of three performances and the opportunity to broadcast their show live to the public.
