CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) — Officials at the Cleveland International Film Festival unveiled the theme for the 46th annual event on Friday.
CIFF46 will take place from March 30 to April 9 at Playhouse Square, followed by CIFF46 Streams from April 10 to 17 on the CIFF streaming platform.
The festival is expected to showcase more than 300 films and host Q&As with the filmmakers and audience engagement opportunities.
After the COVID pandemic forced officials to shift to live and remote presentations over the past two years, they said the theme coincided with “a celebration of the excitement of returning to the in-person format. of the CIFF”.
“One aspect of the Film Festival that has always resonated with our team is the patrons’ dedication and unwavering love for the Festival. Over the last few years of uncertainty, they persevered,” said Brittyn DeWerth, creative director and owner of Type Twenty Seven, which is leading the campaign.
“This year, our goal was to express that dedication with a slogan that encapsulates their resilience in the face of the beauty of the place. Everyone is a beacon of light celebrating together as they “all shine,” she added.
Officials will announce the lineup for CIFF46 on Friday, March 4.
Tickets will go on sale to festival members on Friday, March 11 then to the public on Friday, March 18.
