This will be your last weekend for family fun at the Countryside Family Farms Fall Festival & Maze. This should be a most enjoyable way to usher in fall. Some of the offerings include Kids and Toddler Zip Lines, Wagon Rides, Rubber Duck Races, Kids Train Rides, Jumping Pillow, Backyard Ball Zone, Lawnmower Ride , a nature trail, a hillbilly hootenanny music station, pumpkins, a ring toss, a bubble stations, graffiti car and, of course, this maze, which here is made of sorghum rather than corn . There will also be plenty of food to buy, from tacos and pizzas to burgers and hot dogs. And there are plenty of sweet treats, too – key lime pie, hot corn, pecan pie, and cinnamon rolls. The Countryside Family Farms Festival & Maze runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30 at 6325 81st St., Vero Beach. Admission is $17.95 plus tax at the door. Disguised dogs receive a free milk bone. And if you’re a little more adventurous, head to “Flashlight Nights” which runs from 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, October 28 and 29. Bring your own flashlight and try to find your way through the maze in the illuminated darkness. There will also be spotlights galore so you can enjoy the rest of the fun. Head a bit north for more fun at Spooktacular and Haunted Gardens, starting at 7 p.m. at Rock City Gardens in Sebastian. The event brings out zombies as well as other spooky characters. At 8 p.m., Maleficent holds story time. There will be wagon rides with headless horsemen, witches’ brew and trick or treat. The event begins at 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30. You can still get in the Halloween mood and not face such gruesome characters when the Vero Beach Community Church screens the silent film “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” with music by organist Andrew Galuska. very accomplished of the church. Other films suitable for the season will be screened at Family Movie Night & Costume Party beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 28 at Riverview Park in Sebastian. The event is free. You must bring your own chairs and blankets. The film screened will be Disney’s “Hocus Pocus”. The costume contest will take place at 6:15 p.m. The film starts at 7 p.m. The event is organized by the Sebastian Police Department. Riverview Park is located at US 1 and County Road 512, Sebastian. That same night, the Women’s Club of Vero Beach will host their Halloween Double Feature Movie Night. It starts at 6:30 p.m. $12.
