DORSET Hall & Woodhouse brewer has been announced as the main partner of the Teddy Rocks rock festival.
It will donate £25,000 to this year’s festival, which takes place near Blandford, and will provide the full infrastructure and operation of several bars at the event.
All proceeds from the bar will go to Teddy Rocks, with the aim of raising as much money as possible for charity.
The three-day family festival is set to take place from April 29 to May 1 with artists including The Fratellis, Newton Faulkner, Terrorvision, Eagles of Death Metal, Black Water County, The Wurzels and more.
The festival started out as a gig in 2011 to raise money for a children’s cancer charity, but has evolved into a three-day family event attracting some of the biggest names in British rock.
Tom Newton, organizer of Teddy Rocks, said: “We can’t thank Hall & Woodhouse enough for bringing such enthusiasm and endless support to the festival and charity.
“They helped us raise life-changing amounts of money for Teddy20 and none of us could have ever imagined what Teddy Rocks would become when we started. We are so grateful.
Hall & Woodhouse say they are proud to support the event, which is back after a nearly three-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lucinda Gray, Community Relations Manager at Hall & Woodhouse, said: “We couldn’t be more excited about the return of the festival and to be able to continue supporting Teddy Rocks as a presenting partner for 2022.
“It is so important to us, with our vast Blandford heritage, to support and enrich our local community, and this partnership is a perfect example of that.”
The brewery expects more than 50 members of its team to volunteer during the festival weekend.
Ms Gray continued: “Teddy Rocks is a fantastic festival that has an amazing atmosphere, and that’s why so many of our team love to volunteer their time to help out with the event.
“The festival depends on a small army of volunteers so that it can raise as much money as possible for charity and part of that army is our wonderful team.
“The team is passionate about getting together, having fun and giving back to our local community.
“For me personally it has to be one of the most rewarding, enjoyable and exhausting weekends of the year and I love every minute of it.”
