The Treasure Coast International Film Festival will be paying tribute to local artists and musicians, as well as local and international filmmakers, at this year’s event from October 12-16. The festival kicks off with an opening night screening and gala reception on October 12.

The screenings will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, followed by question-and-answer sessions with the directors, producers and actors present. Each evening will culminate with nightcaps from filmmakers and artists, parties, director’s mixers and social networking opportunities. The festival closes the evening of October 16 with the televised awards gala in honor of the artists.

The film festival will host free seminars led by top industry professionals. The whole family can enjoy ‘Throwback to The Sixties’, this year’s film, music and outdoor art, featuring musical performances of ‘Peace of Woodstock’ and ‘Live from Liverpool – A Beatles Tribute’.

There will also be a performer’s aisle, a ’60s celebrity costume contest, a kids’ hula-hoop contest, and interactive booths where the community will have the opportunity to celebrate what’s being called “the most greatest decade of all time” and the influence the 60s had on our film, art and music industries. With the addition of 60s-themed food trucks, vendors, and arts and crafts stalls, the festival promises tons of creative fun. Free entry.
