The Watermelon Mountain Jug Band performs their unique musical instruments using a wash bass, jaw harp, wash board, kazoos, jugs and various percussion as well as guitar and banjo along with their player of violin 5 times state champion. Then at 7 p.m., The Western Hers, an all-female group, will take the stage and bring the best of classic country tunes.
Between performances, get the rare opportunity to come face-to-face with two curious cougars, a 500-pound black bear, four climbing gray foxes, elk, and 20 species of native wildlife and raptors in the city’s zoo. wildlife. Wildlife West Nature Park is a non-profit organization run with the support of volunteers. The park is located just 20 minutes east of Albuquerque, off Interstate-40 and legendary Route 66 in Edgewood.

There will be food trucks, live music, over 60 vendors, crafts, a children’s booth. jewellery, court art and carpenters among the vendors. The silent auction is sponsored by the artists of Mariposa. There will also be a $50 free raffle every hour. The event is organized by the Mariposa Lifestyle Committee and the Mariposa Homeowners Association. The Mariposa Community Center cafe, Bree’s, Cool Beans, will also be open. The event and parking are free. Restrooms are available in the community center.
