David Warner may be an Australian player, but he still continues to impress his Indian fans, sometimes with his jaw-dropping strokes, sometimes with his electric game and sometimes with his social media posts. Since Warner has been part of the Indian Premier League for over a decade, Warner also celebrates Indian festivals. Warner also wished his Indian fans Independence Day this month. However, now the southpaw has sent wishes to his fans on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Warner posted an image on Instagram in which he could be seen praying before Lord Ganesh. “To all my friends, HAPPY Ganesh Chaturthi. Wishing you much joy and happiness! #friends #family #buddies,” Warner wrote on the post.

Notably, the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival started on Wednesday in India.

On the labor front, Australia’s Warner side beat Zimbabwe by eight wickets in the second ODI at Townsville on Tuesday to seal the series 2-0 with one game to go.

After Mitchell Starc played a pivotal role in bringing tourists for just 96 years, Australia overcame an early stutter in their pursuit to reach the humble goal in 15th. Speedy Richard Ngarava briefly revived Zimbabwe’s slim hopes of a miraculous win with wickets from openers Warner and Aaron Finch in third to leave Australia faltering at 16 for 2. But an aggressive Steve Smith (47 not out) and Alex Carey (26 not out) counterattacked as Australia cruised to a series triumph. Australia had already picked up a comfortable five-wicket win in the first ODI at Townsville.
