Immerse yourself in family fun at the Children’s Festival on November 12 and 13

THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS – The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion transforms into a giant playground for the annual Children’s Festival presented by Texas Children’s Hospital-The Woodlands and the whole family is invited to jump in on the fun! Tickets are on sale now for this year’s festival taking place Saturday, November 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, November 13 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $10 per person and includes all shows and activities.

With performers on multiple stages, character meet and greets, a special toddler zone for the youngest festival-goers, arts and crafts, hands-on activities and exciting active adventures, there’s something something for everyone in the family to enjoy throughout this epic journey around the place.

Sound the Octo-Alert! Come join Captain Barnacles and Kwazii, stars of The Octonauts TV series, as they explore the ocean in search of adventure and fun! Don’t miss the chance to meet the underwater duo as they explore, protect and rescue. Don’t forget to bring your camera to snap a few photos with the Adventure Team, as meet and greets will take place at various times throughout the weekend. It’s always a good time to be a hero when the PJ Masks come to town! Throughout the weekend, children will have the opportunity to meet everyone’s favorite heroes from the hit Disney Junior show, PJ Masks and other characters at different times of the day in the Meet & Greet tent. South Plaza Greet.

Full of interactive and educational activities, Accenture STEAM Surf offers an opportunity to learn in a fun and exploratory environment. Launch into space with Janet’s Planet, create glow-in-the-dark slime and fake snow with Little Beakers, and enjoy a host of other activities including hat-making and a petting zoo where kids can get their hands on real orchestral instruments.

Children are encouraged to unleash their inner artist and create their own masterpieces in Creative Coral. Located in the Pavilion Event Center, children will learn about lines, colors, shapes, patterns, unity, balance and more as they use these elements to create a variety of imaginative creations. Children can explore the art of drawing with hands-on drawing lessons presented by Young Rembrandt throughout the weekend. On the Creative Coral Arts Stage, families can sing along with Disney’s Ariel and Moana or ignite their creativity with inspiring performances by local bands.

Are you coming to the festival with a little one? Then you won’t want to miss Children of The Woodlands Toddler Tide, a ‘festival within a festival’ for our youngest festival goers, ages 4 and under. The little ones will have plenty to do with musical performances, interactive theater workshops, free exploration and a special toddler inflatable. This area is also home to the Comfort Lounge, a quiet and comfortable place to relax, feed baby, catch your breath and get organized with a diaper changing area and private nooks for nursing mothers.

Take a break at Pepsi Main Marina which will feature beach barrel paintings with Artist Boat, a non-profit organization aiming to inspire and educate through unique coastal experiences, fun Woodlands Children’s Museum activities and a wide variety of performances on the community stage.

Be sure to stop by Adventure Abyss for exciting outdoor activities including inflatable bumper cars, climbing walls, obstacle courses, a double petting zoo and more.

A fan favorite, Transit Trench returns bigger and better than ever. Discover the inner workings of some of the best trucks, tractors and automobiles The Woodlands region has to offer. Then relax with the Pavilion’s Underwater Express – a train travel experience full of exploratory surprises. Don’t forget to head to Hill Harbor at the top of Pavilion Hill, where kids can play giant bubbles with the Texas Bubblers, build and fly their own kite, dig for buried treasure and participate in parachute races on the lawn.

Admission is $10 per person and includes all shows and activities. Children 2 and under are free. All activities and performances are included in the admission price. Tickets can be purchased at the Pavilion box office Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

Preferential parking is available at the on-site downtown garage, located along Six Pines Drive. Parking is $10 per vehicle for this event and most performing arts events. Tickets for on-site parking can be purchased in advance at all Ticketmaster locations and at the Pavilion box office. Guests can also park in one of the five free car parks located on the southwest side of the lodge off Timberloch Place. The free, color-coded lands are connected to the clubhouse by corresponding pathways with signs leading through the waterway.
