The Lollapalooza International Music Festival is ready to make its Asian debut!
One of the most successful, sought after and anticipated events, it will take place in Mumbai on January 28-29, 2023.
The two-day festival will record the presence of many acclaimed Indian and international artists, some of whom will be performing in India for the first time!
Here’s all about the musical extravaganza.
Why is this story important?
- Singer Perry Farrell founded it as a traveling festival in 1991 and the event is hailed for bringing together several artists representing different genres under one roof.
- Lollapalooza would also be the first festival of its kind to be “environmentally conscious”.
- Apart from India, the previous sites included top countries of the world, such as Chile, Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France and Sweden.
Who’s who from the international musical landscape will perform
Imagine Dragons, one of the most popular groups and musical sensations in the world, will perform for the first time in India!
In addition to them, American rock band The Strokes, American DJ Diplo, Grammy-nominated star Zhu, American rock band Greta Van Fleet, English indie rock band The Wombats and dream pop band American Cigarettes After Sex will also headline the festival!
