me. just released the first episode of “moe.’s Podcrash”, a new podcast series covering all things moe. Featuring a wide range of conversations and topics, from band history to stories from the road, the first episode features an in-depth conversation with guitarist Chuck Garvey, his first public appearance since suffering a stroke in november. As announced last month, Schleigho’s Michael “Suke” Cerulo will replace Chuck this summer, alongside keyboardist Nate Wilson of Percy Hill and Assembly of Dust. Visit moe.org or wherever you listen to podcasts to hear the first episode “I wanted to talk,” commented Garvey, when asked what kept him motivated during his recovery. “The first thing was, when I woke up, I just wanted to see everyone I’ve ever known. I just wanted to see them and talk to them.
me. is a one-of-a-kind band that has never been easily categorized. Their sonic adventure and wry humor are distinctly and unmistakably theirs. Praised by the American songwriter for his “stunning musicality”, moe. is loved for its haunting musical synergy, unfettered showmanship, and clever, resonant songwriting.
The longevity of moe. is undoubtedly due to the family spirit shared between its members and its committed fanbase, the Famoe.ly, a bond strengthened over decades on the road. me. has performed countless signature tours, international festival sets, music-themed cruises and sold-out shows alongside countless big-name artists. They also promoted and headlined several festivals, including snoe.down and moe.down. The band’s vibrant blend of inventive musicality and genre blurring is on full display on two recent releases, their 12th studio album, “This Is Not, We Are”, and the EP “Not Normal”.
After appearances at Summer Camp, HarborFest and City Bisco in May and June, moe. will play a short series of shows in July, starting with a free performance in Albany, NY on July 6, and a few dates in September, including two nights in St. Helena, CA on September 23-24.
