– The 25th Annual Full Format Documentary Film Festival will be fully virtual in 2022.

Event organizers announced on Wednesday that the festival will be held online due to the “continuing and unpredictable realities of the coronavirus pandemic.”

“Nothing can replace the magic of showing movies together in a movie theater, but we firmly believe that the decision to stay online for another year is the best choice for Full Frame right now,” Sadie said. The 2022 festival will follow a format similar to that of the 2021 event with screenings of feature and short films, questions and answers to filmmakers and panel discussions. There will also be a Jury Rewards Program offering cash prizes of over $ 40,000.

The annual festival, which is an internationally renowned Oscar qualifying event, will be held April 7-10, 2022. Full Frame is a program of the Center for Documentary Studies (CDS) at Duke University.
