Sea Change Festival, Totnes how to get tickets

THOSE who mourn the loss of one of Cornwall’s most eclectic festivals – Port Eliot – will be more than delighted that the Sea Change Festival returns after a two-year absence.

From May 27 to 29, 2022, the atmospheric buildings of the town of Totnes will become the venues for an event covering music, art, cinema and literature, organized by people who spend the whole day listening to records.

The lineup for Sea Change – to be announced in January 2022 – promises three days of truly unique events that will take place inside the Grade I listed St Mary’s Church in Totnes, the ethically innovative Bull Inn, the Barrel House ball with gilded ceilings, the 17th century Birdwood House, the beautifully restored Totnes Cinema and the award-winning Drift Record Shop, among others.

And, as a very special launch party event, on Thursday, May 26, world-renowned Chilly Gonzales will perform an intimate solo piano recital at the Great Hall in Dartington, amid the beautiful gardens and woods of the historic cultural site. , just along the Totnes road.

The repeatedly Grammy and Juno nominated musician and producer has previously collaborated with Daft Punk, Peaches, Feist, Drake, Jamie Lidell and Jarvis Cocker, and in 2009 Chilly Gonzales broke the Guinness World Record for longest concert solo, playing 27 hours 3 minutes. 44 seconds of piano – over 200 different songs – during a marathon concert at the Ciné 13 Theater by director Claude Lelouch in Paris.

Weekend tickets and packages – to include the Chilly Gonzales show – are on sale now via

Sea Change Founder Rupert Morrison said: “Chilly is, without a doubt, one of our favorites and

most performed artists; his solo piano albums are just perfect. We’re going to run out of superlatives before May, but it’s an absolute dream booking for us and we honestly can’t think of a more special way to kick off the weekend.

Sea Change has a reputation for creating and programming memorable and unique shows and events and this is meant to be one for the ages. We are delighted to partner once again with Dartington Arts to bring you this incredible spectacle in the historic Great Hall. ”

Sea Change tickets are sold through Citizen Ticket. For every ticket purchased, 5 pence goes to tree planting in the UK. That way, hundreds of years after an event ends, its legacy will still live on, absorbing CO² and helping local wildlife to thrive.
