Sicamous ready to rock

Sicamous is ready to rock for the Monashee Music Festival on July 22-23.

“After being canceled two years in a row,” organizer Cindy Hewitt says she’s thrilled to be back.

One could say the meeting of musical styles at the meeting of waters, the traditional Secwépemc name of the Shuswap passage in Sicamous.

Friday is rock/alternative night, headlined by BC rock veterans 54-40, while Saturday is country night, headlined by Tyler Joe Miller.

All the action happens at Sicamous Dog Park on Solsqua Road.

There will be food trucks on site, a family area and a 19+ area with bar. A nearby campsite and shuttle service are also available.

The festival features 16 bands and two DJs. The full range includes:
