The Drop Festival appoints INVNT as an experiential agency


Cultural Festival Series The Drop Festival has announced the appointment of INVNT as an experiential agency under a three-year global agreement.

INVNT, the brand’s global live storytelling agency®, today announced its appointment as the Global Experiential Agency for The Drop Festival, a series of unique music festivals starting in Australia in early 2022 that merges the local surf, skate and snow communities with live events for the ultimate cultural experience.

The account will be managed by Sydney-based INVNT APAC and supported by other INVNT offices around the world, with a broad mandate encompassing branding, event production and management, sponsorship activations, creation of content and digital marketing.

The founder of the Drop Festival, Ken O’Brien, says that the INVNT was chosen because of its strong local capabilities and its ability to develop the brand on a global scale: “We had the vision to Drop Festival in the world since 2017 and we had started this journey successfully, but COVID-19 has stopped us dead.

“We believe that the combined culture of surfing, snowboarding and skateboarding needs brands that can guide and educate their audience through experiences that support the desire for that moment in time. We have the ambition of 30 events on five continents over the next five years and it is only thanks to our recent partnership with INVNT that I can finally see it all come to fruition.

The Drop Festival always takes place next to the surf, skate park or snowfields, allowing brands to connect directly and make an impact on the boardsports culture and lifestyle.

With core values ​​aligned with the mantra of ‘riding with respect’, the INVNT will focus on tolerance and acceptance of other human beings, being aware and aware of the environment – and mutual enjoyment!

The Drop Festival will kick off in Australia in March 2022, starting in Newcastle before heading to Coolangatta, Torquay, Coffs Harbor and Cronulla between April and October 2022. A series of 2023 international dates are planned in a number of other countries including the France and Portugal. .
