Three scary classics will premiere next month at Wrexham’s inaugural Horror Film Festival.

Taking place at Ty Pawb on October 1, the lineup will include the classic 1987 film ‘The Lost Boys’

There will also be a world premiere screening of the directors’ cut of the zombie apocalypse film “Infestation.”

Originally published in 2005, this newly edited version is unpublished.

The director, producer and some actors will be there for a Q&A after the screening.

Director Edward Evers-Swindell was also the man behind the cult film ‘Dark Signal’, as well as numerous other films in the horror genre, including the 2005 hit ‘The Descent’.

Finally, there will be a screening of ‘Expiry Date’, which was filmed locally in Wrexham and Llangollen in 2005.

With Erin Richards, who went on to star in the hit TV series Gotham, it’s a rare chance to see a movie that’s been out of print for a decade.

Some short films will also be shown along with related items for sale.

‘Mad4Movies’, from Butchers Market, will be there to sell horror movies. ‘From Beyond the Grave to Beyond the Stars’ will have a stand selling original vintage film posters and author Marie Cope will be on hand to sell her books.

After the event, there will be a horror-themed Pub Quiz at Nags Head with great prizes to be won.

Tickets cost £7 and are available from Mad4Movies at the Butchers Market or by contacting the organizers via Facebook here.
